Hi everyone!
New to motorcycling, just got an '81 KZ550LTD. Brought it home today, and after a couple of attempts got her to fire. Tags on the bike expired in 97. $500 for it, from a guy who had it for a project, that was never realized.
Got my motorcycle permit. Once I get the bike running good, BRC. Got gear from a family member who doesn't ride anymore. Aerostitch roadcrafter two piece in my size no less. Summer armored jacket, wet gear, gloves, full face helmet the whole nine yards.

It was impressive to put a quart and a half of oil and have her fire off a car battery. The master cylinder needs rebuilding and a good cleaning of the whole bike. But she fired up!!

Thanks again
Dustin

The tank is leaking from the fuel level sensor housing. So no tank in pic. She gonna need quite a bit of work to be truly roadworthy again.

Thank you all for the welcome. I have already found the fixes for a few of the problems I had, the Kawa manual was a bit too detailed with me being new to motorcycles and not knowing the steps for trouble shooting them.

I take my welcome back... get off the bike now! You're too young, you have your whole life ahead of you... don't start that bike.

And another thing, stop dating under age girls.

Mean while, that's a real nice bike. You are going to have too much fun with it. Great kids you got there too.

Best of success. :)
