Years ago I was a hand on the Candle Light Ranch, just off FM1431 around Cow Creek.
Man, 1431 is a really fun road on a bike, though potentially a bit dangerous with all the deer and idiot cagers.

I think A Texas ride is LONG overdue. I recently rode up through Montgomery, through the Nat'l forest as far as Anderson RIDE TEXAS magazine said it was the best ride in Texas & I think they might be right. There is a bikes only-jap friendly ice house just north of the forest. How far is Bandera from Anderson?? 82 KZ1100D1
