This is actually my second KZ750.My first one was a 79' twin..Now i have a 1980 Kz 750H LTD 4 cyl. Mostly stock.
I just put new Cafe style bars on and put it on the road. Having some running problems i will address them in the other forums. Im hooked on KZ's though.

Was there any over lap? I mean did you ever own both bikes at the same time, even for a day? If so I suggest a new handle as you may be showing the first symptoms of MBD. Welcome to KZR! Need pics!
