Hey Everyone,

I bought an 82 550 LTD last week. I was a little skeptical about buying it, since all my bikes have been more of a sport bike, but I needed a bike since my last one kinda blew up and took out half my house, Watch out for those trickle chargers =) My friend offered it to me really cheap, so i couldn't pass it up. Now that i've been riding it i love it

Before i got it the carbs were rebuilt and its running great. Just a little polish and it started to shine. It still needs a few minor things fixed, but besides that is great.

I'm not sure how to post pictures so here are some links, let me know what you think

Welcome to KZr TkdFav.

Nice looking 550 you've got there. B)

So what did you end up paying for it?

I'm sure you've already noticed that aside from the obvious appearance differences, it's also not as nimble or powerful as the sportbikes you're probably used to riding.
Years ago the inline-4 KZ motors earned the rep of being basically "bullet proof" motors, and the 550 is no diff in that regard.
With the proper maintenance and care, it should give you many miles of reliable and pleasureable fun. :)

I think you did good Joe. That's a nice looking runner for $500. Like R4 said take care of and it will last a long time. I've beat the hell out of my 650 and it's held up to it
