daddy didnt raise no fool. was created by jp650sr
Hi, All,

Just got my first street bike.
I can honestly say its the first time i used ebay with no problems at all.

it was all but expected that my first bike be a kz, as my dad raised me on a '75 z1-b. i loved that bike and always wanted to ride it. he got me a kdx200 instead and i drove that bike through the grass for years. my new 650 is everything i could ask for. but i dont have to explain myself you guys know what i mean.

The bike is a 79 kz650 sr in that beautiful candy persimmon red. its in real good shape as it seems, the guy i bought from is an avid dirt biker, and a farm boy with lots of toys he fixes up. i got the bike, a different set of pipes, a whole extra engine block, and a box full of gaskets chrome pieces and filters for a good price. take a look at the pics and say hey.

also, im thinking of doing some modification, nothing serious, just tinkering a little to learn some things. any suggestions to make this great bike better are appreciated.

Welcome my friend. As far as mods go i have not done that much except the re-power coil mod and Dyna electronic ignition and that made it run like a new bike.

Welcome.

I've been constantly changing things on my 650 over the years. It's a never ending cycle. Just hold onto any parts you remove in case you want to go back.

Suspention items may be a good start, as the stock units need looking into over time.

Oh, and yes, bring on the pictures! ;)

:cheer: Another 650.
Mods I have on my bike are:
110 mains
17.5 pilots
dyna green coils
regap plugs to .035
pod filters
4-1 exhaust
shaved head, 155 cranking compression
Electronic pick-up
All of these upgrades made a difference in power band. I think I've squeezed just about all I can out of my lil 650. Oh wait I can still advance the cams cause of the shaved head:evil:
