kz 650 tranny noise

Just for peace of mind... My 650 b1 gives a tranny noise when in neutral and clutch engaged. If you have it in gear or if the handle is in no noise... On a car I would say I sounded like slop in the input shaft. but I don't know how loose these are supposed to be. I have had it slip out of 2nd once or twice only under very heavy acceleration.:S Is this good, bad, or just plain ugly?

It is slop, there have a chain that goes from the crankshaft to the tranny, they get worn and make the noise. I have never heard of one breaking, but.
I haven't ever seen anywhere where you can get a replacement either, the noise is "normal". Having the carbs synced and adjusted well will minimize or eliminate the noise.

I think the tranny jumping out of second will be unrelated to the noise; it may be a worn gear or shifter fork related.

I have a good little bit of trouble with it wanting to shift from 1st to neutral and not go by into 2nd unless I pay close attention. sound like forks you think?
