My first KZ
16 Jun 2007 19:50
And my first motorcycle for 17 years. I originally bought it just for basic transportation. Decided real quick I was hooked. My wife likes it and both my girls have ridden behind me now. I've been watchin the site for a while now, seems like quite a few good people are on here. Figured I'd better join up and show it off.
Proud to be here, lookin forward to meetin you guys.

Nice scoot. Welcome to the site. Your bike looks clean. I know what you mean about being hooked. When I first got my bike I really wanted a Harley, but a friend of mine talked me into restoring an old Z. Now I can't imagine having anything other than a kaw.

When I was 17 my father-in-law helped me build a hard-tail shovelhead. I loved it, worked on it constantly, but loved it. Now, I wanna have somethin older with character but when I wanna ride I wanna ride.

Welcome to KZR, nice bike. You picked a good one that shouldn't let you down. Go to edit your profile and put in what model bike you have and where you live. You may have KZ near you.

Nice bike. I also have my first Kawasaki (SR650). Although I am not hardcore for 1 model or make over another, still I am pleased with this bike.
I also am back on a bike after nearly 20 years of raising kids, working, etc.
It's sure good to be riding again.
Welcome 2 da Zone!

I don't know if you bought the bike without the badges on the side but you have an 81 kz1000 LTD, not OEM blue but it's really nice. Welcome to the site and enjoy. My bike on the left.

KZWolfSR, thanks for the advice on the side badges. I've been wondering and was gonna ask about that. Do they say "LTD" or "LTD 1000"? Thats a sharp 1000 you have as well, I like the bars.
Davenkids, yeah 20 years later we're back. I don't know what happened to the time. I kept sayin "one o-these days".
Mark, thanks for the words man. I'm likin it so far.

Welcome, 350X.
Nice looking 1000 you have. BTW, you're not far from OKC_Kent and Guitar Geek.
