Hey,

So I used to have an 81 KZ 750, I roded it for 4 years, loved it, but decided to sell it to keep the girlfriend happy.

Now the girlfriend is gone :) A new bike came in to my life. I bought a 77 kz 1000 on craigslist. The previous owner had stripped it down to the frame and never put it back together. He painted all the chrome flat black, looks ok, but I wish he would have left it alone.

The past two days I spent putting the bike back together, I haven't started it yet, but thankfully this is a long weekend!

The bike has aftermarket coils and a 4 to 1 exhaust. I'm going to tackle getting the bike running tomorrow. I hope my neighbors don't get too pissed off.

Sean

Welcome durk96!

Hope you learned your lesson! Don't ever get rid of a bike to keep a woman happy...fundamentally, she's telling you that she is unhappy and that she is a short-timer...you'll divest yourself of things that you enjoy and she'll still leave...it is a win-win situation for her. Find a woman who enjoys you being happy...'cause if it takes bikes to do that, she'll be onboard with your affliction  As for your new bike, congratulations!...and the heck with the neighbors. I have one of those basket KZ1000A's in my garage too and eventually I'll make it happen.

Durk96,
Welcome! Glad you got rid of the problem area in your life. Don't you know dating stupid chicks is dangerous? Geez, get a motorcycle and settle down!
Seriously: cool bike, get it going and post pics!!!
...and on a personal note: judge your women by their acceptance of your short comings and their desire to be with you anyway. ;)
