New Here . . .
24 May 2007 20:26
Hi all!! New here but not to bikes. I've owned a string of metrics over the years but I just purchased my first KZ this evening. It is a 1981 KZ1000LTD with just over 18k on the clock. It hadn't been ridden much in the last 5 years but thankfully had been stored inside. Runs but needs some help. Tank has seen better days but I believe I can get by until I find a good replacement. After looking arounfd the site, I don't think I will have any problems with brand/model specific problems.
See ya in the forums!!:woohoo:

I didn't bring it home as I was in the cage and just happened upon it. Taking the ol' truck to pick it up tomorrow and will snap a few piccies then. She ain't purdy but she's mine!!! I gar-on-tee it won't stay the pos stock color very long. I have been known to sling some paint through the airbrush from time to time. I sling paint through the big guns for a living anyway!!!

Sounds like the same condition a good portion of us got our bikes in.
I almost forgot. Don't forget to update your profile when you get a chance to show what bike you have and where you're located.
There just might be other KZr members near you willing to lend a helping hand if needed or to go riding with.
And having your bikes info listed will aid in answering any questions you might have.
