Hi all!

I'm glad I stumbled across this forum and website. You have a great and helpful community here, and I'm going to take full advantage ;-)

I just bought a 1978 KZ650 C2. This is my first real street bike (anyone want to buy a good dual-sport? ;-) I probably could have convinced the family bean counter that I should have a newer, more expensive bike, but I saw a KZ in a magazine once suited up for racing, and I fell in love immediately.

A previous owner added a Wiseco top end and pistons, Yosh 4-into-1 exhaust and some other goodies, so I'm on my way. The only thing I have done so far is take a turkey knife to the ridiculous king/queen foam to accomodate my 30" inseam. But I've got some fun planned, so I will definitely be using everyone's expertise - I have a already learned a lot from looking through old posts over the last couple of days.

I noticed quite a few other canucks on this board - even someone else from NB. Good to see!

Oh, and here's a pic of what I'm starting with...

Thanks, z1rick - missing location now found :-)

I'm pretty happy about getting the C2, rtsnick - I'll ride it as is this season, and maybe in the winter I'll tear it down and have the frame powdercoat and little bits cleaned up - it is 30 years old, after all.
