Hello Everybody
07 Apr 2007 05:23
Hi everyone. Just bought my first street bike, picked up a '82 KZ1100-A2. I hadn't really even heard of a KZ before but liked it from the first time I went to look at it. Glad to find a KZ forum.

Welcome to KZr Dave.
When you get a chance, be sure to update your profile and put your bikes model/year and your location in your sigline.
It prevents folks from asking "what year and model KZ" when you post any questions, and you never know if there's another KZr member near you willing to lend a helping hand and/or go riding with.
Oh ya, pics of your bike are a must! :woohoo:

There she is. That right when I got it home. So far I've rebuilt the carburetors, cleaned and repainted the calipers, front master cylinder, battery tray and case guards. Replaced all three brake pistons, seals, dust boots. One I get it running the points are going bye bye for a Dyna Electronic Ignition setup. After all the mechanicals are taken care of its getting paint; Either some kind of orange or the same color as my AMC Gremlin "ElectricLime Perlcoat"

Welcome KZDave! Should be fun...BTW, your bike already has an electronic ignition (no points)...unless it is running really crappy, save some money.
