Hey, thanks for the input. I actually took the MSF course. However I took it 6 years ago and I really haven't ridden a bike since. I'm thinking of taking a refresher course. It'll probably do me some good.
Here are the photos of my bike.
I just noticed a big hole on the right side of my bike on near the pickup coil cover. I hope it's not a big deal. I'll get pictures of that later.

These are some of my bike pics. I took the carb out so I could try over haul it. On one of the covers, on the left side of the bike, the previous owner drilled holes supposedly to cool something faster??? He said it made the bike a little faster. I don't know if that's true.

Make it faster? Not enough that you or I would ever likely notice! :lol:

As far as I'm concerned, skipping a Big Mac every now and then would do more to make my bike faster. :whistle:

About all those holes will really do is allow flung off chain lube to ooze out. I'd be willing to bet that you can find one in good condition on eBay or elsewhere. Good luck!

Ahhhhh yes......previous owner must have been from the "Billy-gofaster School of aerodynamic modifications by installing strategically placed openings where none were before". Now why didnt I think of that!!??!!??

In all seriousness.....do cruise EBay now and again. A sprocket cover cant be that hard to come by....we have a classifieds section here, as well......

Hey this is one picture of the hole on the coil pickup cover. I hope this isn't a big problem. Also it is possible to fix this?
