Another new guy KZ1100 from IN
19 Mar 2007 11:47
Hey guys, I just purchased an 83 KZ1100 as the base for my dream bike (modified classic sport cruiser). It ran great from indy to lafayette but then I Killed it driving it to work and back. I think its because I ran it on choke and fouled the plugs. I couldnt get it to run on idle and it was idleing at 3000rpms on choke (wife took the car as well that day). Im in the process of checking the plugs and everything to see what i have to do. I am looking to do some customization aesthetic wise and keeping the motor pretty stock for a long while. I will post pics the next time Im out working on it. I will be bugging you guys about many things im sure

You're in the right place. Hope you like bad jokes and even badder photochoppin'. Even better is the amount of accumulated knowledge, either posted on the site, or floating around in the members gray matter. Be sure to check out the archives. Did I hear someone say "where are the pics"? All that is missing is the customary greeting from you-know-who. Wireman...<insert drum roll here>!!! (BTW, welcome to the site!)

Hopefully ill have it on the road all summer and then start the work i want to do this fall. Maybe some of us can get a ride together.

I bought a Factory Service Manual off eBay for ~$14 shipped, beats the almost $90 from a dealer.
