I remember seeing a Chrysler turbine powered car back in the days when I was a motor loving teenager.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

He definitely liked cars, he brought  a 58 Jaguar XJ6 (I think) over to the USA when we were returning from the UK in 1962 where he had been working for 6 years. I was born in London but only lived there about 6 months.
The company he worked for as an engineer (Chicago Bridge & Iron Co.) was involved with Liquid Natural Gas storage which the Blue Flame was powered by.

Was it one of these beauties (MK1 or MK2) the " get away" car of choice at the time for bank robbers and jewellery thieves. The XJ series didn't starrt until 68. Your pops had impeccable taste.

Looks like it!  It was white with a red leather interior!  I will have to find a pic of it and post this weekend!

Turbine? That's not a turbine...

This is a turbine!

We have a turbine that lost one of the temperature probe tips and in doing so, it took out a blade or 2     in the process. We took it out and handed it over to GE to make the repairs.

Don't be ridiculous! It's only a flesh wound!
