I own a small auto repair shop in Pittsfield,MA. Beetle's Automotive Service, this summer is 7 years since I opened the doors/ been repairing cars as a living since 1987. my specialty is air cooled Volkswagens, but I work on just about anything. including small engines, motorcycles and do some welding/fabrication. right now I'm streaching a spare swingarm for my KZ1000. also self taught some electronics...been getting into vacuum tube stuff. made my first amp couple years ago, gave it to my buddy as a wedding present to play guitar on.
when the swingarm is finished I will post pics of what I did. its nice to be back here!!!!!

It's nice to have you back TwoCam!
That's quite a diverse set of skills you've honed. I do some welding/fabricating myself.

Bill

Eighteen years professing history at a large suburban junior college. Ten years before that as a service technician specializing in woodwind instruments, a host of random part time jobs before that.

Ive appreciated the very interesting read, fellas.

As for myself,
I've done a multitude of things, but I think my favorites have been mechanic work on hot rods and similar, drilling oil wells as a roughneck, and working as a bomb squad tech.

I was a motorcycle mechanic for about 18 years. At some point in time I made a career change, and for the past 25 years I've been working in the health and social services field. Planning to retire in 2021.

The first two pictures were taken in the early 80's.

When I am not riding, photography is my favorite hobby.

Good for you Baldy, knowing what you did for a living and I'm glad you made it out, enjoy!
I have 3 more years to go but will continue to be a woodworker as long as my hands will let me.
