400 seat on 440... was created by sasquatch
The seat on my 440B was garbage and I was able to score a 400B seat for free (Thanks Marty). The 400B seat is no jewel but much better then what I had. I like the look. I'm considering removing the rear fender altogether and figuring out how to mount the tail light/turn signal/license plate holder right below the seat. I think that will somewhat hide the exposed rails....It'll give it kind of a flat tracker look maybe? Anyone else seen/done this before?

Thanks

I did it on this 1976 400 S. I used a seat from a 79 400 and tail piece from a 550, but I later put on a tailpiece from a 79 400 because it was a better match.
