Question on Corbin seat for kz750 was created by SimonTemplar
I was looking at Corbin's website and they list seats for KZ models, but not specificly for the kz750.

I have a '77 KZ750 and I'm wondering if the seat they have listed for the '77 Kz1000, or the '76 KZ900 will fit on my 750??

It won't be a bolt on, but with enough determination anything will fit :)
The 900 and the 1000 (and almost all except the 750 twins) have two seat hinges while the 750 twin has one.

Sorry Steell, I don't mean to contradict one of the old masters but the 82 750 CSR twin also has 2 hinges. I'd also like to know if one of the listed corbins would fit.

i had always wondered about corbin seats fitting other models with a little mods done. so if one was willing to drill into a $300 seat to mount the hinges and lock loop could it fit on a kz650 or kz750 (4 cylinder)?

Quite right, I should have said 76-80. but he was asking specifically about a 77 :)

You're right, steell, Simons bike is a 77 but I thought he was asking about any of the corbin seats fitting a 2 hinge bike. Which is what I'd like to know if there was some bike seat corbin makes for another model which would fit mine. My bike salvage guy thinks he may have a couple but he has just moved and hasn't come across them yet. Right now I've given up on finding one so I'm trying to make my own. At least one that will work for awhile. Someone mentioned on making a seat that he used a "grinder" to shape the foam. Any idea what kind of grinder(how coarse) was used?
