I recently acquired an 1982 KZ1100 Spectre that belonged to my dad and would like to touch up the black and red paint that is on the tank. I have not been able to find any paint codes and Color Rite doesn't have paint listed prior to 1990. I am looking for alternatives that will most closely match. Thanks!

There are no bona fide paint codes for old Kawasakis. Try PaintWorkz. In case he's done a Spectre.

You might want to take a side cover or tank to a paint supply house and have the color scanned. They then can mix up some paint that's a reasonable match. Mind you, if the paint has faded that's what you will get.

I never worked on that color but it looks like a typical candy red over a silver base, which is difficult to touch up. Black might be a standard solid black.
