@ed: shouldn't be a problem - I only ride like that on the hornet ;) Having said that, I'd rather touch up some paint than high side cause the footpeg didn't give... Everything's pointing to ignoring it and leaving things as is.

@scirocco: I'd love to! But the bike isn't ready to be ridden :) I'm still at the stage where every imperfection annoys the hell out of me :pinch:

The milk jug washers are worth a try. If they fail I'd give up.

BTW, the E pegs are more rearward than the H pegs if that's something that interests you. Pretty sure they are a direct bolt on.

I agree with you on giving up after trying nylon washers.
Definitely want to keep the H riding position. If anything, I'd like them further forward :)

Related to the riding position. Did you keep the stock handlebars? Asking because my 650-CSR probably had the same bars & they were too narrow for my liking. So I got a set of Flanders BMW Med Street bars which are kind of like Ltd bars but wider than the stock CSR/Ltd handlebars. After those, I installed Emgo Euro bars & plan on installing superbike bars now that I've updated the Fr brake mc.

Yeah, kept the stock bars. Got the chrome redone for about $60 and now they look pretty much new. I actually quite like the narrow bars (once you get used to the feeling that you're trimming a hedge). It's a nice contrast to the very wide street bars on my daily rider (2012 hornet).
