Just bought a used 1981 GPz550 with 16k miles. After a little research, I realized that it is missing the rear mudguard/fender and the passenger hand grab rail that mounts onto the twin shock bolts. Would I be able to fit GPz550 H or A parts? I know the grab rail and fender is completely different for the H model so can I fit an H tail so that the fender and rail mounts properly?

Hey nice find. The latter model bikes have completely different frames, the H grab rail bolts to the frame through holes in the side of the tail section, these bolts are what hold the tail section on as well . its nothing like the D model setup.
It also flows into the side panels so would look like something is missing even if you did manage to attach it some how

You can probably use parts from 80 to 83 Kz550A1 to A4 models. They looked to be the same from what I remember.
