Gpz550 D1 fairing

Hi. New member here. Im looking for some help. I am doing a nut and bolt resto on my gpz 550 D1. Ive sent off the nose cone fairing for painting. Can anybody tell me what colour the inside of the fairing should be? Should it be the same firecracker red or is it black?

Insides black at least on my girls 83 it is anyways . I know it hasn't been painted cause she bought it new . Cant tell on my 81 as I know its been painted .

I don't think it is painted intentionally. From what I remember, it was black but had red overspray on the inside . I't's been 20 years since I've had one, though.

Here is one of my 82 fairings. ignore the PO's overspray its black under that sticker.

The insides of the side panels and tail fairing were never painted. I would assume that the inside of the fairings were black for aesthetics . I wouldn't see any reason to paint inside the fairing, the matching exterior color.
