Just finished Complete Overhaul 82 KZ550LTD

I have just finished overhauling my 1982 550ltd. I am Active duty AF, and I had recently had it shipped to me from my parents house where is sat in a garage for 3 years.I bought it for $450, after someone had laid it down, and dented the tank in, and broke off most of the lights handle bar on the left side, and just replaced all that stuff, I didn't have to do too much, mostly carbs, and new fuilds, clean some rust out of the fuel tank, replace all most all tubing, adjust everything,replace everything broken or missing, and I gave her a custom paint job (which was the only thing I am really good at) I am a better body man then a menchanic. I have painted a lot of bikes, and I am thinking of making it a weekend job. The problem is I paint outside, ok for me (bugs and dust get in the clear coat sometimes bad for paying customers). I really enjoy this bike, she rides really well, and has only 10,000 miles, and I can't wait to but 100,000 more on her.

The Citadel is the Military College of South Carolina, Charleston, SC.

i knew that sounded familiar for some reason!

Are you assigned to the Citadel? I just retired from the AF after 22 years and live within 10 minutes of Wright-Patt AFB. At the auto hobby shop on base they have a paint booth and most everything that you need to paint. For what it is worth I would check at Charleston AFB and see what they have to offer. Technically you are not supposed to make money off the work you do there but if it is only occassional they usually don't bother you. Good luck and the bike looks great
