Hi,

I have a 1982 KZ1000 LTD, and ordered a set of the EMGO EM43-95912 From Z1 Enterprises. However, I cannot for the life of me get these things to fit the tank.

The emblems measure 140 mm exactly between the screw holes when laying flat. However, when I try to bend around the curve of the tank, the holes come about 1-2mm short. If I put a flexible tape around the curve of the tank, I'm getting 141-142mm on each side.

Is this common with these emblems? Any tips on where to go from here? Thanks

Well, it looks like they did actually make a 142/143mm emblem, which is news to me. I thought all were either 122mm or 140mm. It looks like I'll have to find a set of the bigger emblems.

Here's an eBay listing that shows your model and 142mm hole spacing:

This eBay listing says the hole spacing is 14.2 cm which is 142 mm, but the item is in Thailand, so it may not be NOS as it claims to be.

This eBay listing doesn't state the hole spacing, but you could ask them:
