Are all KZ650 seat bases the same ?

There is a Z650 C series seat for sale in Victoria which I wish to buy. Problem is it appears the 650 C is not same as my Kz650 H series from all research I have tried to do. Is this correct as Postage from Victoria to Sydney is quite expensive and I would hate to have another seat that dont fit my bike.

What does CSR mean ?

I dont know much about kwakis TBH

Mine may even be an H2 if that makes a difference ?

I'm guessing that might be an F model..

The tank, fenders, side cover & chain cover are different, and the csr didn't have a ducktail. and other stuff is wrong.

CSR doesn't mean anything, it's just a marketing badge that Kawasaki may have borrowed from Matchless
which had a number of csr models in the 50s & 60s. there was a Matchless G12 CSR (650cc).

Thanks for that. Sure from info you supplied that it is F series and not H. Does that now mean a Z650 C series seat will fit ?

Really appreciate all help BTW. Am up on old Brit bikes, but know very little on jap stuff

I don't know but maybe 650ed does. From the cross-reference at Partzilla the 77-80 650B/C/F have the same seat, but you should double check the part numbers at Kawasaki.com if possible or wait for someone else to say whether or not it would work.

I'm 95% sure the C and F seat are the same.

What letter is in the VIN # stamped into the frame, steering neck?
Your bike may have the longer VIN # than the earlier models,
On '70 models, the vin will be kz650_, where the blank_ will have the model letter designation.

Sent email to guy selling seat that I will take it. Just waiting on total cost price from Him now
