maybe add some dampening. rtv. silicone sealant. flowable windshield silicone. or whatever
if necessary either pry out the glass if feasible or drill a hole in the plastic
and/or put dampers or o-rings where they thread into the handlebar perches. worth a shot, maybe not

Thanks Mike.
I have logged thousands of miles on these bikes in the 80's and early 90's and Im just now getting back into riding.
I was feeling like i had never stopped. And while i wasn't riding with disrespect i sure got a wake up call.
Im too old to be sliding down the road .

Don't know about the Z1 Enterprises mirrors, but every aftermarket mirror I have ever seen uses regular mirror glass that is not convex, so utterly useless. Of course by convex I mean objects appear farther away than they actually are, and you get a much wider area of view and less blur. With a non- convex mirror all you'll see is your own shoulder and blurry at that.
Of course when shopping for a mirror, they never say whether convex or not, or at least rarely do. If it doesn't specifically state convex, it won't be worth using.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Convex glass. oem is probably the best. $40 or so for a pair of decent used mirrors is probably reasonable.
I've seen a pair of aftermarket mirrors with convex glass & they were not very good ---- the mirror head & glass were too small, and the glass was poorly made, resulting in a distorted reflected image which was hard on the eyes.

I have been running the short arm EMGO replacements...Just could NOT go all "Quadrophenia" (sp?) with the bug antenna looking longer armed version...About 20 bux, IIRC...Only complaint I have is that I need to "tuck' my elbows in a bit to see...No vibration, though...Clear view
