What motorcycle do you have? A couple of things to compare is the way the donor tank mounts & also the shape of the upper triple tree. Kawasaki.com. partzilla. eebbaayy photos. If the triple is kinda angled forward like on the 750E, then a larger tank may work; but if it's kinda straight across like my 650-CSR, then the triple may bang against the tank. one possible fix would be to weld a blob of material to the steering stop peg.

No kz yet just a cbr1000rr. I'm trying to find one or.talk my cousin into selling.me his 76 kz 900 .

just a link to a KZ1100 shaft tank .

I checked the website from Japan out. And for like 600 bucks I can make a mkII clone or for a couple hundred more make it look like a z1r. Now my next question is if I can't get the 76 what would be the compatible years to make the parts usable. Would a 1990 kz1000 be able to be used.

If you can make a tank, then getting one to fit shouldn't be a problem.

The KZ1000-P Police uses a bolt at the rear to secure the tank to the frame,

The parts I was talking about was the gas tanks and fairings for the z1r on the Japanese website. I was asking if the aftermarket z1r or mkII parts would fit on like a 90's kz1000 if I couldn't find a earlier model year.
