Trying to figure out a bike that has headlight fork ears that are around 4 3/4" from center of fork tube to headlight mount.
900/1000 ears are shy of 4", trying to find a cheap stand in for my H2, those ears (chrome version) are around $400, don't feel like spending that much

Here's what I use on the H2.
One day my dogs knocked the bike over and one of the ears bent. I put these on, look fine and only cost about $10 - $15 on e-bay. Funny to think about, in the 70's these headlight ears were probably made in Japan. They still look the same but I think they're made in China now.

Yeah I've seen those and while cheap (i like that part) they really look out of place on any bike really.

My fork ears aren't bent or anything (3,000 mile bike) BUT every chrome part has flaws and the headlight ears took a lot of said brunt

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHey FloV, the cafe style are a little thicker. but center to mount hole is only 4 3/8"
Search ebay for cafe headlight mounting. I had bought these 2 years ago for one of my flips.
I see some black ones also.
The picture is the chrome ones.

The KZ650 fork covers seem to be the closest match (other than the 900A/1000A), but to my eye they appear to be shorter than the H2 ears. The 750-Twins seem to be shorter as well & have additional mounting holes for the turn signals. The KZ400 also have the turn signal offset & the fork tubes are probably smaller. Some of the 83 or so Ltd-Shaft models have fork ears that might work but are shaped a little different & have reflector mounting holes on them; the 1100 might have larger tubes. The headlight ears on my 81 650 are 4".

H1 fork ears --- for comparioson --- assuming they're the same as the H2. ??? --- 36 mm fork tubes???

KZ650-B/C/F

KZ750-B w separate turn signal holes

KZ400 - turn signals also offset, but I think the fork tubes are smaller in diameter

I keep flip flopping on what direction I'm going, leaning between rocking the crusty barn find look and a semi restored look

I really need to find 3 stock pistons first tho (cheap, cuz I am cheap) first

Also plan on hunting down a set of kz forks tubes to swap on, upgrading the front brake etc. It's not a difficult project, just doesn't have the connection to me that the 900/1000 do. But I want to get the chance to wring it out and see how it goes
