Csr 650 tank was created by Prairie rider 29
Hello, I am wondering if there is any tanks larger then what's on a 81 csr 650 that will fit and mount fairly easy. Does a 1000 fit on it?

Thanks

The problem with a larger tank is that the upper triple may bang against it & dent the tank.
The 650-CSR triple tree is kinda straight across, whereas other triples are angled forward, allowing clearance.
The 80-82 750E tank is a direct bolt-on (pretty sure) but will get dented. The E tank is 4.2 gal.
A 1000 or Police tank might work but you'll need to get some measurements --- I assume a Big bike has a big tank, so it could be too long. But, as with the 750E, the csr triple will probably ding it.

Ok thank you! Do you know of any solo seats that are fairly uncomplicated to add to the 650? Other then cutting the pan and seat that is.

If you mean like a Harley or Police bike seat, then no, I don't know of anything. One or two of the 750H Ltd models had an unusual 2-piece seat & I think the front part mounts to the frame the same as the csr dual seat. The Ltds have virtually the same frame as the 650-CSR. Partzilla --- seat diagrams --- 80-83 KZ750 H1-H4 models --- unfortunately, they don't show all of the drawings for the 81-on models.

eebbaayy search = KZ750 seat ..... or try DimeCityCycles for something different.
