Best One-Shot Cleaner / Wax for Bodywork vs Frame

Hey all,

About to get my gpz550 back on the road. The bodywork is freshly painted but the frame is a bit grimy in spots. I don't want to hose the whole thing down, I am still wrapping up repair of some corroded brakes. Is there a frame cleaner that will cut a light film of frame dirt? It really isnt that dirty, 10 years sitting worth of dust after being ridden and not washed up when stored.

What is the hot ticket for the newly painted (2 months) bits? Looking for a spray & wipe sort of thing. Water is a last resort.

TIA,

Bill

Lemon Pledge.

3% Hydrogen peroxide gets stuck on bugs off very well. Just put it in a spray bottle. Spray it on and let it foam up. Then wipe off.

Nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect.

I have used original spray cleaner and polish and it works good. I think it used to be a honda product. Cost at least twice as much as Lemon Pledge and you can find Lemon Pledge anywhere. One issue with Lemon Pledge is that it sprays out in high volume, so go easy on the trigger.

It's made by a AMREP Automotive Products Group. I believe they are now part of ZEP, Inc. Here's the same stuff (see link) with a little different label (has a bike on it). I have cans with both labels, they contain the same stuff. Some motorcycle dealers also carry it. Ed
