Im trying to change my seat with out much modification, especially to the hinges. I have the police seat and rear police seat now. I want a single banana seat or something similar to a café brat sort of seat. Does anyone know if the csr or ltd seat from this year will be a direct fit and if not what would need modified.

Someone else may know for sure, but from the diagram drawings it appears to me that the 81-82 CSR/Ltd frames are very similar to the 82 Police. The seat hinges appear to be in the same locations. Also, the fuel tanks attach the same & the side covers appear to be the same.

It would be handy to compare the CSR frame or seat on eebbaayy, but I didn't see anything.
Maybe you could provide a couple of good pics of the police seat & frame, then maybe someone w a CSR/Ltd could do the same? And the distance between hinges.

The back of the frame looks pretty close to my CSR,(except the bracket hanging off the back of the loop)
unfortunatley,I whacked off the hinges and shortened the loop on mine ,so I cant take measurements from the frame.Ill have a look at the seat pan today and take a photo for you.

That would be awsesome!!! Once I get this thing up and running and blah blah blah I plan on removing all the unnecessary tabs and such. That thing on the back will be one of them haha. Well if the seat thing doesn't get figured out...im kind of partial to this idea. Might suck to ride on but I sure do love wood grain. hahaha.

Yea looks near identical except for that left side hinge looking thing. Id be afraid to buy a seat for a couple hundred and it not fit. Oh well. Thank you for those pics.

Digital cameras are handy in that you can take photos of something at the exact angle of something else that's in another photo for comparing stuff. see raised seat photo in KZR topic link above.

Spannering today,so I pulled out the CSR seat pan and took a couple of pics. You can see the position of the rubbers, the 2 hinges and the hoop for the lock. The hinges and lock hoop are bolted on ,so it would be possible to move them.

Hope this helps. If you need more detailed measurements, let me know.

There must be someone on here with a CSR and an LTD who could do a physical comparison? It would be good to have a difinative guide to the similarities and the differences twixt these two models (then again, there are a load of
different LTD models apparently.Whats the difference between them?!)

Good luck.
