KZ200 exhaust road rash was created by Tuxedocat

Hi, I took some pictures of my damaged muffler tip. I'm including them along with two other pictures of the bike. I sent a few pictures out to chrome shops but am getting mixed answers. Some say leave it alone, some say it is beveled inside /can't do it, and others say they can...for a price. I'm pretty confused. Is re-chroming my only option? The bike turned out great except for this flaw. I always appreciate your opinions very much. Thanks

IMPO, if you want a pristine bike... BTW, looks good... buy a new pipe. If you're less than worried about aesthetics, just ride it and don't worry.

As far as a re-chrome... I suspect you'd need to strip the can, maybe even cut it off and reweld it back, after the re-chrome.

All depends on what you want and how much you want to spend.
