fairing brackets

Hey does anyone know where i could find the mounts for a 80-81gpz550 fairing. I'm mounting this on my kz550 and I have the mounts that attach directly to the farirng(looks like there's a stud on each side of these) but i'm not sure where it actually attaches to the bike. it is a factory gpz fairing thanks

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration

Three mounts, left, right and bottom. Same parts on the GPz550D1 H1 H2 z550F. except the fork yoke top mount plates, on the 81 The plates are flat and straight, on the H they are L shaped. These are difficult to find now.

So, to be clear...you are looking for the mounts that attach to the front forks?...and not the mounts that attach the fairing to the windscreen and then to the front fork? If it is the little one that attached to the front fork, I may have a set. Find an exploded diagram and post the part number, just so we are all on the same page. Those mounting brackets are getting fairly rare.

I'm having trouble finding a diagram, and some of my parts are in storage at my parents house right now. I believe the only brackets that came with my fairing would be at the far left of the attached picture. They are two small brackets I removed from the fairing in order to paint. thanks for the help. also, i may be off on the year of the fairing but my bike is an 81 kz550. and the fairing is the style shown in the picture

if they are very hard to find or are pricey i will probably just fab something up. For one because it will be cheaper and two because I would rather those original parts go on someone's actual gpz and not my kz with a fairing. I like the look of the fairing but honestly my initial reason for even putting one on is that, when i purchased the bike, it already had the gpz light and gauges. thanks again

I've sold several used fairing mounts for £15-20 each on ebay, they sell fast and are difficult to find.

Got me thinking maybe making a batch of them, but looking closer the left and right pressings are complex and not an easy part to copy.

There has been chat about trying to reproduce the brackets (all the brackets) for the 550 series and the 750/1000/1100 series for a number of years now. Every time a member who has access to a machine shop takes a look at the complexity of the brackets, the plan gets shelved.

It is of note that the windscreen and fairing (of the 750/1000/1100 series) are readily available as reproductions yet the brackets and windscreen gasket remain the rarest of the entire ensemble.

Sure, making 10 000 units plus no problems with the right press tooling .Making a short run with all the compound curves it would be far cheaper sourcing used or NOS.

Front end fairing stuff gets smashed up or removed an lost hence it is amongst the rarest parts to find.

The last 1100 mount I sold i actually wrote on ebay listing 'sorry to charge silly money on this but these are so hard to find now...' also at about £20 it sold quickly.
