need some opinions I do allot of work for a local high end powder coater Evansville finally has a real
powdercoating shop.

anyway, he offered to powder coat my swing-arm for all I do for him. I took it off the other night found a few issues
I have since addressed (broken weld on my rear-set bung) but was looking through pic's and remember how nice it looked polished.

Now with it off in an hour or so I can recreate the shine and beauty. or shoud I take him up on his offer any input would be great

Maybe ask him to show you the silver / metallic colors available that would look like it was polished but be easier to maintain, or ask him if clear powdercoat would stick to a polished swing arm to keep it looking polished. Ed

I have the same dilemma. I love the polished look but then you have to maintain the polish all the time. Someone here mentioned a chrome like powder coat a week or so ago.

Best of both worlds. Not quite a shiny As polish but much more durable.

the owner was telling me he had a new chrome like powder I think he said chrome is like 98% reflective and the powder coat is like 96 and more closely resembles polished silver My memory isn't what it should be maybe I should research that.
