Would really like to find such a tank for my kz750E,

looks like off a Mk II 1000 and of course the thing could be photoshoped too but pic looks quite genuine

anyone knows in those where ever fitted to 750s?

I have seen that bike before. Look at the dyno cover, it looks like a KZ1000 dyno cover, not the KZ750/4 dyno cover. Looks like that motor is based on the KZ1000 motor.

They did sell a 750 Z2 in Japan instead of the 900 Z1 back in the day. Maybe its a 750cc version of the KZ1000A3/A4 Mark II for the Japanese home market!!! I thought you went through a change of life to get a bike bigger than a 750 in Japan.

Does look good in my book!!!!

1972 H2 750 Cafe Racer built in 1974.
1976 KH400 Production Road Racer.
1979 Kz1000 MK. II Old AMA/WERA Superbike.
1986 RG500G 2 stroke terror.
1986 GSXR750RG The one with the clutch that rattles!

yep, that could be the explanation, didnt thought about the rare Japanese market z2.....

it still fits so much better the squarish tail than the stock teardrop tank!

Bear in mind that the frame on the Z750FX (which is what you had pictured) has a frame similar to the KZ1000A3/4 rather than the KZ750E model. There may be fitment issues. That said, the Z750FX tank is sold on the www.WIN-PMC site.

i am a builder/tuner/fabricator, so fitment issues dont really scare me, but that 410 $ tag for a tank certianly does!
