I dunno, it might just be me, but having that requirement for registration without a *spelled out* privacy policy prior to getting a look-see at anything interesting on the site has the faint aroma of a mailing list generator operation to me...

You register, you get a peek at some interesting, but not earthshakingly valuable specs, and next thing you know, you're getting email offering to sell you everything from cut-rate Viagra and Korean mail order brides. Oh, and a subscription to the JC Whitney catalogue..

Dude - I don't know what kind of bike you have (it doesn't appear to be in your sig), but many "authentic"-style reproduction seat covers are available out there. And if there isn't one for your bike, you could take it to your local upholstery shop, or try it yourself.
I suppose it's not fair in that I used to be an upholsterer, but I'd DEFINATELY try it myself before paying $80 plus shipping... what do you have to lose but a few bucks in vinyl and sewing time?
