You _could_ use the existing black plastic inner fender as a female mold, then use the product of that as a male for laying up a fiberglass inner.

The big issue is the reason Kaw went to a plastic inner in the first place - torque-ing and flexing stresses placed on the inner by the swingarm action.

Aside from re-in forcing the bejesus out of a fiberglass layup with wire, metal banding strips and whatever else the imagination can come up with, it might be worth looking into forming the attachment tabs somewhat oversized and using rubber grommet inserts as strain relief/flex absorbers on a hard fiber inner...

Durn. Gotta learn to keep my big trap shut; now there'll be *two* 'ole cop stockers with Vetter mounts...;)

They work like a charm. Roomy, and comfy on a long haul with that back rest.

Painted and striped to match the tank, it's amazing the number of people that mistake it for an original cop box - go figure.
