hmm.. you might be able to get some of that dent using the paint less dent repair method. Simply find a curved steel bar or something, and put it though the gas fill hope and pry that dent out ! Knock it out ! Heres an example of a good tool for this type of thing..

It has a curve at the end and a handle at the other end for twising the curve at the dent to push it out. You dont need THIS tool, but something that'll work..

get some Rod stock, bend it a bit, wrap electrical tape around the end so you dont make outward dimples on the dent too, and push it out in small segments.

You will be amazed at what a little bending of bar stock will do.
