Frame is Painted now was created by ran429
Just completed the paint on the frame, sanding was the Best time I ever had.
Next bike Gets aircraft paint stripper.

Now that the frame looks better than the Mossbeaters did when I completed it, I will be throwing the Motor in.

I had fun today, now for a rest, i hurt.

I think everyone with a Bike should have an engine hoist in their yard. :woohoo:

Now to lift this and get the bottom side.

Pressure washe carefully, engine Brite, Sandpaper mesh and scotchbrite in the fins, Key Buffing wheel on my drill, Wire wheel, then 2-1/2 cans of $5.95 500*Degree engine paint from a can at Napa.

this one was WAY easier than the Mossbeater motor, I did that one still in the frame. Oh The Memories (im gonna cry - Kidding)

You give it a bake to cure it when it's applied at all?

500 watt halogen Lamp 13" away from the motor before and after spraying. Had to heat up the Metal before spraying it. Worked Great.

I used the same paint on the Mossbeater and it was pretty durable, but the mossbeater was assembled and I could start it a couple hours after spraying. this time I had to improvise a little.

Actually the lamp was a bit closer before spraying to get the heat into the metal/oil
