7" grinder with a 8" buffing pad and regular buffing compound does a great job and is a lot cheaper (if you already have the grinder). Works great for parts you heve removed from the bike, just clamp the grinder in a vise and go

Hey Steell, thanks for the cleanup job. I really got dumbed out when I was posting pictures.

I plan on picking up another bench grinder and putting buffing wheels on it for Knife building, another of my hobbies. Believe me, I considered taking off the pieces and working them, but dang, I ride her every day unless it rains, so that would really put a damper on my riding. Plus, I don't have the buffer yet. I borrowed my buddies when I was building the knives I built and haven't bought my own.

Eventually, I'll redo the left side parts while they're off the bike and get them looking new.
