rickman or tracy ???

does anyone know is thia a rickman or a tracy race body or maybe something else and what should i be paying for something like this?

That's a Tracy body, as to what it's worth there seems to be a big range of opinions when it comes to these. What is the owner asking and how bad do you want it?

$125 ca. i dont really need it but i know i can restore it real nice for a later project. hmmmm, me want.

how rare are they?

They seem to pop up on a fairly regular basis, most times the seller believes they are made of gold. I would put them into the "only if you find it local or at a swapmeet category" due to the fact that the shipping will be a killer. I guess if you look at what a complete stock set of body parts will run you it isn't too bad of a deal.

What is it suppose to fit. That piece looks like one of the later ones.
I bought a very early Tracy at Mid-Ohio for $25.00 and resold it the next year for $200.00 or $250.00. A very nice one will sell as high as $750.00.
There is a lot of weight savings using a Tracy.
They became very popular on the dirt track but were outlawed because of thier aerodynamic advantage.

it was on a kawa h2 and he is only driving distance away, so is only gas money.it looks good on your bike roy.

The one on my bike is for a 900 and it doesn't fit the 1000 very well. It sits too far back.
The early one were made to fit several bikes. One i had would fit a triumph or 450 honda.
I paid $125.00 for the one on the bike. The week before i lost a auction on eBay and i bid $600.00 for a very nice one. Roy

Just take it to Jeffs place and he will ship it to me. Then i can build a bike to put under it and the usless piece will cost me $1000.00.

ha, one man's meat is another man's kick into the baby maker. im building a kz750 cafe/s.fighter as well and that would look cake on it, so things going well.....
