z1 900 side covers on 77 1000? was created by i800phyco
I was wondering if anyone here has fitted z1 side covers on a 77-78 1000a.
And if so, any pointers.

Thanks.

I know they are not a direct fit so you'll most likely have to make up some brackets to move the grommets around.

...sounds obvious, but you can pick up new ones for most KZs from Z1Enterprises or even JCWhitney. They arent that expensive, and might save you the trouble of welding new brackets on it...

z1 sidecovers wont clear the rear mastercylinder unless you use a mastercylinder with remote resevoirB)

I have two sets of good 78 side covers.
I have a z1 tank and tail and Figured I'd get the taillight and covers to match.

I just might have one around, Thanks.
