For everybody else... Kansas (along with the Dakotas, Nebraska, Texas, NM, Wyoming, Montana, etc.) is a darned good reason for putting as big a tank on your bike as possible. A 250-300 mile ONE WAY trip is REALLY common, and there are gas stations who's gas I WOULDN'T put in my bike, even though I'm OK with wizzing in their Jon. A tank that gives you the chance to choose whose gas you're going to use is nice.


Yep, Salina...for now. I work in Hays; drive there M/W/F...112 miles one way. So, as you note, the 250 mile work-day is pretty average for me.
