I was just wondering if there is a high temp clear coat out there... I am polishing covers for my engine and would like to clear them when I am done so they do not get oxidized and such, and suggestions?

I've never tried this personally but have used many other Eastwood products and have been happy with them.

zoopseal makes one but it is expensive.
like $175-200 but they say it will last up to two years.
never tried it but a couple of hot rod buddies did and told me to use it on my polished parts.

someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

The only thing I would worry about is it not holding up for very long. Then you would have to strip it and start all over eventually. The clear powder sounds interesting. If you really hate polishing, you could just chrome the parts and be done with it.

I have some clear powder but I haven't used it yet. I am not planning on using it on any high heat areas anyway so I won't be much help in that department. I can coat a small polished piece if you want to see how it would look. Just let me know.

If you're looking for rattlecan paint, Duplicolor makes a high heat clear.
