i was thinking about painting my bike flat black to give it an old school race look it really needs paint and that would be an easy way out what do ya'll think?
oh it will be on the kz1000.

Flat black would look good. If your painting it yourself with a rattlecan then flat black does seem like the easier way to go. If your having the bodywork painted at a shop then its worth going with black and a glossy clearcoat.

Krylon Semi-Flat Black. I've had good results as long as it isn't too cold. Looks like a black velvet painting if you do it right. Then you just need to airbrush Elvis on there...

I think black velvet and the cheseburger, muttin-chop, white jumpsuit, fatter than hell Elvis go good together. The young Elvis didn't look as gaudy and cheesy, which is more consistent with black velvet paintings...:pinch:

I would recommend Duplicolor semi-gloss in the 1200 degree paint, it smooths out nice and will stand up better to chemicals.

agreed.
it is also more resistant to smudging then flat black.
im talking about when you touch a flat black you leave a smudge from finger oils
