Cleaning Tip for Tank and Sidecover Badges

Hey gang - It's that time of the season when many of us are wishing we were riding but the cold is keeping us inside.

Everyone's tank badges eventually show their age over the years with dirt or wax build up. Here is a little tip I thought I'd post that worked great for me.

Wash the badges with hot soapy water and a toothbrush. Grab some whitening toothpaste that has a little abrasiveness in the paste. Arm & Hammer worked great for me. Rub a little toothpaste into the badge's indentation and then use the toothbrush to clean the badges. Each one only takes about 5 minutes to do a nice job and they will look like new pretty quickly.

How glossy is the paint,John?
Not too sure,but I think if it's high-gloss,it MIGHT dull it some.

That IS a good idea,Colin...get some "Bubble-Action" happening in there!
What about flossing?:lol:
