Was wondering what was the max tire size that I can put on my 77 kz 750 twin. IT has a 4.50-18 on the rear now. was wondering what the biggest in metric would be.

a 130 will fit in the rear but you will have to trim the chain guard and a 110 is the biggest you can do in front.

I have a 120 on the back of 750 #1, by the way, with room to spare... been thinking about a 130 on 750 #2...

(1.) '75/'76 KZ400D - Commuter
(2.) '78 KZ750B3 Twin - Commuter
(3.) '78 KZ750B3 Twin - Commuter
(4.) '75 KZ400D - Sold

I am running 130 rear tires on both the 650 and the 900. The 650SR took a 130/90x16. Can't remember the aspect ratio on the Z1. Hope this helps.

Just installed my new tire last night 130/80-18 Dunlop 501 plenty of clearance on the right side left sidee is kinda close about 3/8 of an inch. don't know but I think that a 140 tire may fit for static use only ie: not rideable Don't know what Smith had to trim but I didn't have any problems with the chain guard.
