If you're doing a streetfighter, you could remove it. Thos swingarm stands are just about as much as the jacks. Keep the centerstand as mentioned above, but remove it for that cleaner look if you ar going for that. I have my center stand on my bike, and wouldn't remove it. Comes in handy when changing oil and anything with the rear tire. I'd like to invest in a good jack someday, and maybe like this:

Wise decision, Wildog. Give some thought to that "level parking" thing I mentioned, too.

And Mr. Clough...

Okay...

..."and don't pet the sweaty things!"

You're kidding on this one, right...? AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Also, I believe tyhe centerstand was the first thing to scrape in the old kz650 road tests, especially with heavy riders. I'd pitch it for a streetfighter.

As a large individual, I can confirm this. I prefer having the center stand there, though, since I'm pretty sure the next thing to scrape would be the stock exhaust! :(

Of course, the 4-into-1 probably keeps this from being a problem for you...

I leave mine off and only put it on when I need it. It looks like shit, it's heavy, and it scrapes. I also use a paddock stand for oiling the chain and cleaning.

Finishing a repaint and have fabbed up the rearsets, when the body and rearsets are on I will take some photos. Again, thanks for all of the input. Should have some pictures by Tuesday next week.

Update...Well the center stand is now gone and it looks great. I have installed the 1986 Kawasaki Ninja rearsets also and they really give the bike a great look. I am finishing up my paintjob, decided to go with all black and airbrush in some real flames on the lower faring and tank along with the shortened tail section. the photo below is an example of what I am doing. I should have some pics up this week. Again thanks for all of the advise.
