Hey there so I just got a 82 750 h3 today, I also have a 80 h1 what are the differences in the 2 bikes if any. All I know is the 82 is all stock with 21000 miles and it runs perfect compared to my 80 with pods and 4 to 1 . I did notice the ticking noise which I assume I will  ne checking the clearances. I am so excited to have a bike that runs without worrying about high revving all the time! I will get a Pic up in the a.m tomorrow.

I do not know what if any difference there are between the 1980 and the 1982 KZ750 H (LTD). I did do a quick look at partzilla and noticed there appear to be different list for the 80 model and the 81,82 and 83 models that indicates differences between several systems/parts between the H1 and the other model years. I do not know how much different any of them are from the H1 but there appear to be different part numbers for several.

Although you might have it, do you own a Kawasaki shop manual for your new motorcycle? If not, get one. They are usually available on eBay and the part number is 99924-1021-04. This manual will cover the H1 through H4 models. The Kawasaki manuals are generally very good and are better than the aftermarket manuals (Haynes, etc.).
