There is a post here that has more info on the disks to add to the discussion, or confuse us more?
kzrider.com/forum/5-chassis/576483-re-fr...-1977-kz-650-#576695

The comment about 8 vs 9 rivets is interesting. It looks like the second eBay link I posted is probably but correct for the kz1000 (only 8 rivets), but the first and third links look like they are probably correct.

Many thanks to everyone for the info!!!  I will be getting a pair of stock rotors that I can hopefully clean-up.  Another valuable burst of information!

FWIW, the stock rotor on the MKII has 9 rivets and is 295mm in diameter. It appears the 8 rivet rotors offered for sale are a bit smaller in diameter.  Obviously, some of the items that are posted on ebay may have come off different bikes due to the 'bitsa' nature of these older models being repaired etc.  As usual, discernment is the key.....

Thanks again!

Thank you.  I just looked at his website.  I have purchased 2 used rotors from ebay and will most likely get in touch with Tom when I have the rotors in hand.  His price is reasonable and it appears he has a very loyal customer base.  All good indicators!!

He did a set for me. Quick service, excellent work, a price that I think is a bit too low.
