Kz750 front fork

Hello, my project is almost finish.. I have a leaking front fork seal .. ordered a seal kit. Now Im looking to having a better “suspension resistance “ that I had last summer.. do I need To replace the springs?! More oil?! Thanks for your help!! 

More oil "might" help if you're trying to make small changes. Fresh springs suited to your weight will be the way to go though. Try sonic springs for straight weight springs.

I put .9kg Sonic springs in my 750 and love the improvement.  The stock springs are designed to use air assist, which is unreliable, since the forks will always leak a little, plus, the air causes seal stiction.  If you weigh over 250 lbs, consider moving to something heavier.  I think they sell .95, 1.0, etc.

If you've never done the 750-4 forks before, the head of the inner cylinder looks just like a 12-pt 19mm socket. 19mm = 3/4" approx.
I used a LH-threaded 1/2" bolt w nuts fitted into a socket & long ratchet extensions >> the bolt head is 3/4" and fits into the inner cylinder. 
I'm assuming yours are the same as the ones I've taken apart (650-CSR & 750H-Ltd).

Thank you, its a 750e1.. so yes Im guessing that’s the same as yours!!  How many oil Im supposed to put in it?! And what kind of oil? Its my first time ever with rebuilting forks

What kind of oil? Yikes.

People will recommend everything from WD40 to granny’s leftover bacon grease.
 
I will start the war by recommending a 15 or 20 weight dedicated fork oil from a major manufacturer. Bel Ray, Motul, Redline, et cetera. You can even buy Kawasaki branded oil if you like. The multi-weight fork oil used by the factory is no longer produced.

10 weight fork oil is the factory spec.  It's always best to fill based on height, not oil quantity.  Measure with forks compressed, and springs removed.

Regarding the tools Martin shows, what he did is all well and good.  If you have a spark plug socket with a hex on the bottom, that, plus a long extension, is all you need.  Just stick the extension in the socket backwards, so the hex is on the bottom.
